Explore light & optics

UV wavelengths are invisible to the human eye. The SPECTERRA App shows channel status and lighting settings.

UVB / 305 nm

Focused UVB.

SPECTERRA uses 305 nm UVB, designed to support vitamin D3 synthesis and healthy calcium metabolism. This design centres on 305 nm rather than shorter wavelengths below 300 nm; wavelength alone does not determine safe exposure.

SOLAR 900UV · UVB output
Up to 150 µW/cm² at 45 cm

This output supports setups for sun-loving desert species, with precise adjustment for different species, enclosure sizes and basking setups.

General UVB exposure guidance: 1–5 hours per day.

The appropriate setting depends on the species, the individual animal’s condition and the enclosure environment. This is guidance, not a universal exposure prescription or independent safety certification.

UVA / 365 nm

A wider view.

Reptile perception can extend into UVA between 320 and 400 nm, revealing colours and patterns beyond human vision.

SPECTERRA’s 365 nm UVA is designed to help reptiles distinguish food, their surroundings and other animals, supporting visual perception, natural activity, feeding and breeding behaviour.

Intensity and operating schedules can be adjusted independently from UVB and visible light on SOLAR.

Full-spectrum visible light

The colour of daylight.

SOLAR uses a broad combination of visible wavelengths, rather than conventional white LEDs alone, to bring the balance and colour of natural daylight into the habitat.

This daylight layer presents reptiles, plants and the complete enclosure in vivid, natural-looking colour, creating a more balanced daytime environment.

SOLAR combines this daylight layer with high-output UVA and UVB, giving each channel independent intensity and scheduling controls.

Two beam angles.
One considered space.

SOLAR combines a focused 60° UVB beam and a wider 100° UVA beam. UV Focus offers these as individually positioned fixtures.

Create distinct basking and retreat areas, helping reptiles perceive the enclosure naturally.

The setup.
And the daily cycle.

The SOLAR system connects to the SPECTERRA App through Bluetooth. Choose individual intensity and operating schedules for UVB, UVA and visible light.

The app brings together channel status, presets, timers, sunrise and sunset transitions, lighting statistics and group control.
